Health and Safety is a Top Priority for the Upcoming 2022 International Roofing Expo taking place in New Orleans

International Roofing Expo (IRE) 2022 will take place February 1 - 3, 2022, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The IRE is the industry’s premier roofing and exterior event for education, product sourcing, and networking. Our community is excited about the opportunity to meet in person, and that is evident as attendees and exhibitors continue to register every day.

While your success is a top priority, the International Roofing Expo continues to prioritize the health and safety of all guests by following all local health guidelines. We want to make sure we provide a safe environment for all those taking part in the IRE.

Effective January 12, 2022, the city of New Orleans imposed an indoor mask mandate. Masks will be required in all indoor spaces for all individuals, both vaccinated and unvaccinated. As a result, masks will be required at the International Roofing Expo.

Currently, there is no proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test requirement for attending the International Roofing Expo at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. However, please note that the city of New Orleans requires proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours to access indoor dining, indoor fitness, and indoor entertainment spaces or performance spaces. This city of New Orleans mandate will apply to the IRE First-Time Attendees Reception, IRE Welcome Party, and other events taking place in conjunction with the show, such as the SRS Concert and the NRCA Awards Ceremony & Cocktail Reception.

To help make it easier for you and your staff to visit the city of New Orleans and participate in all the activities outside of the trade show at the IRE, we will be providing COVID-19 testing on-site at the convention center. In addition, face masks will be available on-site for all guests if they do not have their own.

Starting Sunday, January 30 at 12:00 PM, we will have licensed nurses on-site administering COVID-19 rapid antigen tests for $50 each. PCR testing will be available for our international guests upon request. As a reminder, negative COVID-19 test results are only valid for 72 hours in New Orleans, and you may need to re-test while you are at the show.

Testing Location:
Room 240
Testing Hours:
Sunday, January 30 | 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Monday, January 31 | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Wednesday, February 2 | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Additionally, we will have hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue, as well as an enhanced sanitation schedule, and widened aisles to promote physical distancing.

The International Roofing Expo is in close partnership and communication with the city of New Orleans and local health officials for their expertise and guidance. We will continue to keep you updated on any changes to our health and safety program moving forward. We appreciate your patience as we adapt our requirements to meet local guidance and keep our visitors, partners, and staff safe.
