NRCA Luncheon Thursday, February 17 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Join us for a delicious lunch featuing keynote speaker Dave Carey, a retired Navy Captain, and presentations of the 2010 the J.A. Piper and Charlie Raymond awards.  As a Navy pilot during the Vietnam war, Carey’s aircraft was destroyed over North Vietnam by a surface-to-air missile.  He spent five and one half years as a P.O.W. in the infamous “Hanoi Hilton.”  He’ll share his experience and the timeless lessons that have application in all of our lives. The J.A. Piper Award is given to a roofing professional who has demonstrated outstanding service to NRCA and the industry. Among the Piper Award winners are NRCA presidents and committee members – all of whom have dedicated their lives to the industry. The award was established in 1947 and is named after former NRCA President J.A. Piper in appreciation for his service during the Great Depression. Piper had the unique challenge of holding the association together during this tumultuous time.

The lunch will also include NRCA’s member meeting and elections. This is a ticketed event.  The cost is $75 for members and $95 for non-members.  Online registration opens later this month.    

 

NRCA Cocktail and Awards Reception

NRCA will hold a special awards program to formally recognize the roofing industry’s most prestigious awards – all J.A. Piper recipients, NRCA’s Gold Circle Awards, SpecRight Excellence in Design Award, The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress’ Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards and the 2010 Charlie Raymond Award.
Following the awards presentation, we’ll celebrate with the recipients at a special awards reception being held in their honor. Plan to join in on the evening’s festivities which will include complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks and hors d’ouevres. Cash bars will be available for cocktails.  This is a ticketed event.  Online registration opens later this month.     

   

National Roofing Legal Resource Center Breakfast Program          Tuesday, February 15 7:00 am - 9:00 am

The National Roofing Legal Resource Center’s (NRLRC) annual breakfast program, “Roofing Failures at their Finest,” provides roofing contractors with an eye-opening and frank discussion about how they can minimize their potential liability involving legal and technical issues affecting their businesses.

The breakfast is only open to NRLRC members and those eligible for NRLRC membership. Each NRLRC member receives one complimentary breakfast ticket — two for those who have been NRLRC members five consecutive years or more.  Members may purchase additional tickets through NRLRC for $75; non-NRLRC member contractor tickets are $125.

ROOFPAC Golf Invitational         Tuesday, February 15  12:00 pm (Shotgun start) Angel Park Golf Club $250 registration fee

ROOFPAC is excited to announce that, “the world’s most complete Las Vegas golf experience,” Angel Park Golf Club, will once again play host to the ROOFPAC Golf Invitational.  At almost 3,000 feet in elevation, Angel Park offers spectacular views of Red Rock Canyon and Las Vegas Valley, and features 36 holes of championship golf designed by legendary Arnold Palmer. 

Transportation will be provided from Encore at the Wynn Hotel; buses will start to depart at 11:30 am.  Lunch and drinks will be provided.  This is a ticketed event.  The number of golfers is limited to 100.  Online registration opens later this month.
